Commission Votes To Extend State Of Local Emergency Through July 24

It is in Pinellas County, and it is due to COVID-19.

At its Thursday, July 16, regular meeting, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners voted to extend the State of Local Emergency declaration for COVID-19 through July 24.

Before adopting the resolution, the Board heard from Department of Health Pinellas Director Dr. Ulyee Choe and Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services Medical Director Dr. Angus Jameson about the complex challenges presented by COVID-19.

The Board voted unanimously to extend the state of local emergency with all members present.
