Pedestrians Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash Identified
The accident happened Sunday evening on the Memorial Causeway.

Clearwater Police are looking for help identifying a motorist accused of hitting and killing two pedestrians on the Memorial Causeway Sunday evening.
Police say the accident happened just after 8 p.m. when a westbound vehicle struck two people and then took off. Both pedestrians, a man and a woman, were taken to Morton Plant Hospital where they later died. The pedestrians have been identified as Viola Flores, 51, and John R. Berg, 62, of Lake in the Hills, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.
The accident happened just west of Island Way in the westbound lanes of the causeway, just west of the crosswalk.

Police say the vehicle involved is believed to be a silver Mercedes-Benz that likely has front-end damage. A surveillance photo of a vehicle of interest has been released.
