Cops, Firemen Plan 'Hoagie Throw Down' for Wawa Grand Opening
The new Clearwater store opens Friday.

That question will get answered Friday when the new 2177 Gulf to Bay Blvd. Wawa store opens in Clearwater.
Members of both the fire and police departments plan to be on hand for the grand opening celebration. They’re also squaring off for a “hoagie throw down.”

Whichever team manages to make the most hoagies in the course of 3 minutes wins a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice from Wawa.
The new store opens at 10 a.m. Friday and will offer free coffee for its first 10 days in business. The location is the state’s 56th Wawa and the chain’s 671st nationwide.
