Countryside Tears up the Track at Steinbrenner Invitational.
The boys team came in runner up as a team. Both boys and girls had strong meets against 78 other schools.
The George Steinbrenner Invitational is the brainchild of Steinbrenner High School Track Coach Ladd Baldwin, USF Track Coach Warren Bye, and FHSAA Coordinator of Officials Nate Johnson. In its first year 2010, the invitational drew forty schools to the USF campus. Thanks to the hard work of the three aforementioned individuals and many others, it has become the largest meet in the state. This year, the invitational hosted 35 certified officials, with over 2,000 student-athletes from 79 different schools.
