Couple Exchange Wedding Vows With Underwater Friends

CLEARWATER, FL -- For those who can't resist a love story on Valentine's Day, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium offered the ultimate fish tale via a live video feed.

Joined by a variety of marine creatures including one especially curious sea turtle, aquarium volunteer John Martin and microbiologist AnaMaria Plumridge exchanged vows in an underwater ceremony at the aquarium (see related story).

The couple kept the ceremony as traditional as possible, considering their underwater chapel. Plumridge wore a full-length white gown and Martin a formal tuxedo. However, their goggles prevented them from actually saying the words, "I do," so the couple held up a heart-shaped sign to declare their intentions.

Needless to say, there was a sloppy, wet kiss at the end of the ceremony.
