Crash On Belcher Road Leaves Clearwater Man In Critical Condition

CLEARWATER, FL — A Clearwater man is in critical condition following a crash on Belcher Road Wednesday, said the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the highway patrol, at 10:47 a.m., a car driven by a 55-year-old Clearwater man was traveling north in the left turn lane approaching Nebraska Avenue while a pickup truck driven by a 26-year-old Virginia Beach, Virginia, man was heading south on Belcher Road.

At the intersection, the car turned left into the path of the pickup truck, which crashed into the right side of the car, said the Florida Highway Patrol.

The car rotated to the shoulder and collided with a New Horizons Day School sign, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The pickup truck driver's injuries were minor, said the Florida Highway Patrol.
