Crime Tips Now Worth More in Pinellas
Crime Stoppers has upped its maximum payout to $3,000.

Crime might not pay, but reporting it in Pinellas County just might.
Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County has announced it has decided to raise the maximum reward for information in cases it champions from $1,000 to $3,000. That means people who call in tips to the agency that result in the arrest of suspects are worth a whole lot more now.
Crime Stoppers accepts anonymous tips via its website at www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org, by phone at 1-800-873-TIPS or through its TIP144 text service. All folks need to do to text a tip is text TIP144 plus the tip to 274637.

Anonymous tips, Crime Stoppers wrote in an email, are crucial for helping local law enforcement agencies solve crimes, both current and cold.
“Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County was able to increase this reward as a result of a change in the administration of the Crime Stoppers Trust Fund Grant Program, which is managed by the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Legal Affairs,” the email explained.
