Clearwater, FLCycle Springs Powersports, a premier powersports and marine dealership and member of the Dimmitt Automotive Group, officially celebrated a major milestone yesterday with a groundbreaking ceremony at its Clearwater location.The event marked the beginning of construction on a new, state-of-the-art facility designed to elevate the customer experience and support the dealership’s continued growth.

The ceremony featured remarks from Peter Dimmitt, President of the Dimmitt Automotive Group, and Bruce Rector, Mayor of Clearwater. Mayor Rector recognized the Dimmitt family for their longstanding and meaningful impact on the community, highlighting their significant philanthropic efforts, enduring business legacy, and the number of local jobs they provide.

In his remarks, Peter Dimmitt reflected on the company’s rich heritage, noting that he represents the fourth generation of a family business founded in 1924 with a single dealership.Today, the organization has grown into a leading automotive group and has recently expanded into the powersports and marine sectors, further diversifying its portfolio and strengthening its presence across the Tampa Bay region.

Cycle Springs Powersports is recognized as a national leader in jet boat and personal watercraft sales and ranks among the top volume motorcycle dealerships in the Florida Gulf Coast.The dealership offers a wide array of industry-leading brands, including Yamaha, Sea-Doo, Scarab, Kawasaki, Polaris, Segway, Slingshot, KYMCO, and Suzuki, serving a passionate and growing customer base.

The new facility, scheduled to open in 2027, will span nearly 30,000 square feet across a five-acre campus. It will feature a world-class showroom and an expansive service department specializing in both watercraft and wheeled product service, parts, and accessories. Designed with both performance and customer convenience in mind, the new development represents a significant investment in the future of the business and the community it serves. During construction, Cycle Springs Powersports will remain fully open for business, with all departments continuing to operate from temporary locations just steps away from the original Clearwater site, with Sales at 29661 US Highway 19 N and Parts & Motorcycle Service at 2441 Highland Acres Drive.

Cycle Springs Powersports currently employs 50 dedicated associates and has been a trusted destination for powersports enthusiasts for over four decades.The dealership was acquired by the Dimmitt Automotive Group in October 2023, marking a strategic expansion into high-growth recreational and lifestyle segments.
