Tonight opens a four-day festival of live music and 54 films from around the world, as well as educational panels with the chance to meet filmmakers, actors, animators, musicians, and producers. The festival's featured talent includes New York filmmaker Luke Matheny, who won an Academy Award for Best Live-Action Short Film for “God of Love,” and local actor, producer, and writer Jim Fitzpatrick, who recently appeared in “Dolphin Tale,” which was filmed locally and opens Sept. 23.
Tonight's schedule lists music from The Birds Upstairs, Smolarze, and The Triangle of Death, followed at 9pm by an after-party with Pal Joey Olivio.
