Clearwater Library Colossal Cookbook Sale

The Clearwater Library Foundation has more than 3,000 cookbooks that have been donated from a local library patron.

Many are collectible and in like-new condition. They will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. 

At 2 p.m. on Saturday they will be half price.

Terry Fortner, Granddaughter of Myrtle Betz, and author of Caladesi Cookbook:Recipes From A Florida Lifetime and Christine Clemens, a graduate of the culinary Institute of America will both be in attendance during the sale. 

Fortner will give a special presentation about her grandmother and her recipes on Friday at 1 p.m.

Clemens will be talking about cooking for celebrities and socialites in New York at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
