Fatal Shooting In Clearwater Leads To Arrest Of 21-Year-Old Man

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police detectives have arrested a 21-year-old man accused of a fatal shooting at the Bay Cove Apartments Wednesday.

Michael Conrad, 20, was shot inside his apartment just after 2 a.m. by a man who broke down the front door to his apartment. Conrad later died at Morton Plant Hospital, according to a news release from the Clearwater Police Department.

Detectives arrested Stuart Beck Thursday evening, and charged him with first-degree murder. Conrad and Beck were involved in a relationship with the same woman, detectives said.

Beck was booked into the Pasco County Jail.
