CLEARWATER, FL — A faulty air conditioning unit was determined to be the cause of a fire that swept through the seventh floor of the Edge Hotel at 505 S. Gulfview Blvd. Monday night.

Clearwater Fire & Rescue received the call around 10:30 p.m. and promptly doused it with no injuries reported.
