Fire Breaks Out In Kitchen Of Clearwater Pub

CLEARWATER, FL – There was extensive damage to the kitchen but no injuries after a fire broke out at the popular Clearwater Beach bar and live music venue, The Brown Boxer Pub & Grille.

Clearwater Fire Rescue officials say the fire started in the kitchen of the Brown Boxer, 483 Mandalay Ave., Wednesday morning, Jan. 31.

In addition to the Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department, fire trucks from surrounding areas responded to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent businesses.

As a precaution, those businesses were evacuated.

Fire officials say they were able to confine most of the fire damage to the kitchen. There is no word on when the restaurant will reopen.
