Firefighters Rescue Man, Dog From Blaze

They both required medical attention following an early morning Clearwater fire.

When a fire broke out at Clearwater’s Residences at Renaissance Square condominiums Friday morning, a man and his four-legged best friend required rescue from the scene.

Clearwater firefighters were happy to oblige, pulling the adult male, who has yet to be identified, and his little dog from the smoke.

While the man was taken to Morton Plant Hospital for treatment of possible smoke inhalation following the 5 a.m. blaze, the dog was given oxygen on the scene and taken to the SPCA for safekeeping.
