Florida's 2015 Top Baby Names Announced

Take a look around Florida kindergarten classrooms in just a few years and chances are there will be a whole lot of kids named Liam and Isabella.

Those were the top baby names in Florida in 2015, according to information released by the Social Security Administration on Friday. Isabella happened to top Florida’s naming charts in 2014 for girls, but Liam came in only second behind Noah, according to the data.

The Sunshine State varied a bit with trends noticed across the country. The top boy name in 2015 nationally was Noah while Emma scored a No. 1 ranking for girls. The top five for boys was rounded out by Liam, Mason, Jacob and William. Oliva, Sophia, Ava and Isabella earned number two through five spots respectively on the national level.
