Food Service Workers Accused Of Smuggling Cell Phone Into Jail

Detectives have charged four people with introduction of contraband into a detention facility after a cell phone was discovered at the jail.

CLEARWATER, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives have charged four people with introduction of contraband into a detention facility after a cell phone was discovered Aug. 1 in the G-Wing of maximum security at the Pinellas County Jail, 14400 49th St. N., in Clearwater.

According to detectives, the cell phone was discovered in the corridor during a random search. Detectives found images and text conversations on the phone between inmates Devin Russell, 24, and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Kaylyn Fudge.

Detectives said 37-year-old Terrika Hall supplied the cell phone to the inmates. Hall is a food service provider for Trinity Services Group, which provides meals at the jail. She works in the kitchen at the jail.

Detectives discovered that Fudge purchased the cell phone from Hall for Russell on June 27 for $200 and paid Hall $100 a week to bring extra phone batteries. Cedric Burton, 39, also a food service provider at the jail, was implicated as well.

All four were arrested Thursday.
