Georgia Murder Suspect Arrested in Clearwater

Quintavious Wilcher, a suspect in a Fulton County, GA murder investigation was arrested in Clearwater after speeding Wednesday.

A Georgia murder suspect was arrested in Clearwater after police caught the man speeding on Sunset Point Road near Wednesday.

Quintavious Wilcher, 25, of Atlanta, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to Clearwater Police. Investigators also discovered he was a fugitive wanted on two warrants from Fulton County, GA for murder and armed robbery.

Clearwater Police stopped Wilcher in a 2004 Chevy Impala just after 3 p.m. near Sunset Point Road and County Road 193.

Officers took Wilcher into custody without incident.

He was found to be in possession of a a .40 caliber semi automatic that he pushed into the trunk to hide during the stop. The gun was taken as evidence and the vehicle was seized, according to police.

Wesley A. Harper, 25, who also was in the car, was charged with obstruction because he switched seats with Wilcher just before the traffic stop, according to police.
