Give Blood, Get $10 Walmart Card for Back-To-School Shopping
OneBlood and Tampa Bay Area Walmart stores are making it easy for folks to give the gift of life while getting ready for school.
TAMPA BAY, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who want to give back to the community while getting their kids ready for school may find an offer from OneBlood and local Walmart stores too good to pass by. The two are teaming up for blood drives during Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday.
Donors who give blood during the three-day drive will receive a $10 Walmart gift card for their troubles. That card might help offset some school supply costs as Tampa Bay area kids prepare to hit the books.
The drive has been set up to coincide with Florida’s sales tax holiday. People who buy school supplies and clothing items under $60 or less between Aug. 5-7 will not be charged sales tax on their purchases. School supplies, such as pens and notepads, must cost $15 or less to qualify.
