Going Off Road; Pickup Truck Crashes Into Clearwater Building
A driver may be charged with driving under the influence after crashing into a Clearwater building Monday night.
CLEARWATER, FL — A driver may be charged with driving under the influence after crashing into a Clearwater building Monday night.
According to Clearwater Police, the driver of a pickup truck sporting an ironic bumper sticker reading, "Off Road," lost control and ran over two concrete parking blocks, struck a cement light pole, a Chevy pickup truck and Chevy SUV, ran over two scooters, and finally crashed into a building at 223 Dolphin Point, hitting a power meter box in the process.
The accident knocked out power to the building.

The driver was taken to Morton Plant Hospital as a precaution. An arrest is pending the results of a blood-alcohol test.
