Gun Fire From Moving Motorycle; Holiday Man Arrested
Clearwater police arrested a Pasco County man early Monday morning after he was accused of firing a gun from his moving motorcycle.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police officers arrested a Pasco County man early Monday morning after he was accused of firing a gun from his moving motorcycle on Memorial Causeway.
Emanuel Cantero-Soto, 43, of Holiday was charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle and use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

A witness to the incident called 911 at 12:44 a.m. to report that a motorcycle rider had fired a gun while headed eastbound on the causeway near Island Way.

Officers stopped the motorcycle on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Cantero-Soto, who possesses a concealed weapons permit, said he had been upset with the vehicle in front of him when he fired the semiautomatic Taurus 9 mm gun. He said he didn't intend to hurt anyone.
No injuries were reported.
