Hurricane Dorian: Clearwater Announces Cancellations
The Clearwater City Council Work Session that was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 3 has been cancelled.

CLEARWATER, FL — The Clearwater City Council Work Session that was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 3 has been canceled.
All the scheduled agenda items will be moved to the next meeting which will be held Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.

The Clearwater East Community Library will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3 due to hurricane. Remember that the college and the library will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 due to Labor Day as well.
As of now, the city of Clearwater offices will remain open for business.

Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Dorian, Pinellas County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
With the closing of Pinellas County Schools, the Parks and Recreation Department will offer free day camps for school-age children of city employees. Camp will be held at the Long Center for kids in kindergarten through eighth grades from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The employee will need to complete a Hurricane Camp registration form, which was sent to all employees by email on Friday. The registration form also is available at the Long Center, as are any needed medication forms.
Kids should bring their lunch, snacks, swim suits and a towel. They will swim if able.
