Injured Bald Eagle Hit By Vehicle Rescued In Clearwater
An American bald eagle is now being treated by wildlife veterinarians after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon on Court Street.
CLEARWATER, FL -- An American bald eagle is now being treated by wildlife veterinarians after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon on Court Street east of Missouri Avenue in Clearwater.
Police received a call that the eagle, whose wing was injured, was struggling on the side of the road. With the help of wildlife rescue workers from the nonprofit Birds in Helping Hands, they were able to catch the eagle in a net and safely secure it in a kennel to transport to the veterinary hospital.
