K Club Bar & Bistro To Feature Extensive Gourmet Menu

CLEARWATER, FL — As part of the multi-stage opening of The Karol Hotel in Clearwater, the hotel's signature restaurant, K Club Bar & Bistro, will open to the public Thursday, Jan. 30, ahead of the hotel's official debut Thursday, Feb. 6.

Guests will enjoy a menu of New American cuisine and crafted cocktails inspired by the fresh flavors of the Florida coast and travels of well-known hotel owners Fred and Karol Bullard.

The K Club Bar & Bistro features a contemporary blend of Florida artisan vernacular and chic touches in a quiet, comfortable setting. Whether sipping a gourmet latte, enjoying lunch al fresco overlooking the pool or dining at a table for two by the iconic wine display, every detail of Club Bar & Bistro has been crafted for the patrons' enjoyment.

Executive Chef Jon Atanacio has put together extensive breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus that include appetizers of Whole Roasted Cauliflower with cashew pesto, dried apricot and puffed quinoa and Smoked Charred Octopus with roasted chickpeas, piquillo peppers, arugula and pickled onions; and soups featuring Duck & Beer Chili with duck sausage, duck confit, chickpeas, duck egg and beer cheese and Butternut Squash Soup with apple, sage, andouille and toasted pumpkin seeds.

Lunch choices include Curried Grilled Chicken with avocado, cucumber yogurt and baby romaine and a Blackened Salmon BLT with fried green tomato, bacon and lemon remoulade.

Dinner entrees range from Cornish Game Hen with farro risotto, chestnut, caramelized Cipollini and caramelized onion sauce to Porcini Dusted Filet Mignon with mushroom and leek bread pudding, swiss chard and sauce chasseur.

The restaurant also serves specialty cocktails including a Smoked Old Fashioned with 1792 Bourbon, maple, orange bitters and angostura bitters and the Blue Clover Club with Ford's Gin, Solerno blood orange, fresh lemon juice, house-made vanilla simple, ango bitters and huckleberries.

The Karol Hotel is located at 2675 Ulmerton Road in Feather Sound. It features 123 guest rooms and suites; the Vantage Rooftop Bar overlooking Tampa Bay; a combined 7,340 square feet of event space, including a ballroom and executive conference rooms; and an outside pool and fitness center.

The bistro will be open for breakfast Monday through Friday from 7 to 11 a.m., lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. and brunch Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The bar is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
