Kitchen Fire Doused At Light Of Christ Catholic Church
Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews were called to put out a fire at Light of Christ Catholic Church Monday.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Fire and Rescue crews were called to put out a fire at Light of Christ Catholic Church Monday.
Firefighters were called in at 2:10 a.m. after a teacher reported smelling smoke coming from the parish building at 2176 Marilyn St. The fire appears to have started in a kitchen area in the Monsignor Alman Parish Hall.
There was no one in the building at the time. Firefighters cut ventilation holes in the room and located the fire. The church and school buildings were not affected by the fire. There were no injuries to any of the building's occupants or firefighters.
