Life in Pinellas County Jail for Casey Anthony
The Orlando mother accused of killing her two year old daughter is being held in Pinellas County Jail during jury selection for her trial.
The jury selection in the case against the Orlando mother accused of killing her daughter moved to Pinellas for a change in venue.
But it is still life behind bars for Casey Anthony while the trial plods along.
Anthony, 25, is accused of killing her daughter Caylee, 2, in 2008. The case has drawn national attention so Judge Belvin Perry hoped to find an impartial jury in Pinellas.
Jurors selected will have to go to Orlando for about two months for the trial.
Anthony was into the Pinellas County Jail at 6:26 p.m. Sunday (May 8). She is in protective custody in the Healthcare Division of the jail and is monitored around the clock, according to Cecilia Barreda, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
There is a toilet and sink in her 130 square foot cell.
Anthony brought some clothes and personal hygiene items with her, according to Barreda. She has access to video visitation, books, stationary and mail.
