CLEARWATER, FL — The roof of the Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach was struck by lightning Saturday morning, sending debris into the parking lot below.

According to Clearwater police, one vehicle was hit by the debris, but no one was injured.

Operations at the Opal Sands Resort, 430 S. Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater, were not affected.
