And This Little Piggy Couldn't Find Its Way Home

On Friday morning, Clearwater Police were called when a resident found a lost pig in her garage.

CLEARWATER, FL -- It's not uncommon for the Clearwater Police to get calls about lost dogs.

But, on Friday morning, Sept. 38, police were called about a different kind of lost pet -- a wayward porker.

A woman who lives in the 1600 block of Rachel Court went out to her garage to get in her car to go to work just before 9 a.m. and found a pig in the garage. Her husband called police and officers showed up to try to figure out who the pig belonged to.

The resident of the house fed the pig some cereal and gave her some water in the meantime. Officer Brittani Berg remembered being on a call a few weeks back nearby and noticed the residents had a pig. She the lost pig might be theirs. But their pig, Snickers, was safe and sound at home.

A neighborhood canvas by police failed to llocate the owner, so the SPCA took the pig into custody.
