Man Accused of Swiping Cash From Church
Clearwater Police say the man helped himself to St. Cecelia's donation box recently.

CLEARWATER, FL — The Clearwater Police Department is looking for help identifying a man it says is responsible for stealing crash from a church donation box.
According to the agency, the theft happened on Jan. 13 just after 4 p.m. at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way. The man, police wrote in an email to media, walked into the open chapel, proceeded to break open the donation box and then took about $50 in donations.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s. He stands about 5 feet, 10 inches in height and weighs an estimated 150 pounds. The man has long, thin brown hair and was wearing orange shorts, a blue plaid shirt and yellow gloves at the time the crime occurred.
