Man Arrested In Clearwater After Skipping Jan. 6 Trial Hearing: Report

The 49-year-old man is being held in the Pinellas County Jail and will be extradited to Washington, D.C.

CLEARWATER, FL — A California man was arrested Monday night in Clearwater in connection with the Jan. 6 breach on the U.S. Capitol, according to the FBI Tampa Bay division and media reports said.

Victor Dennison, 49, was arrested a Sunset Park Road condominium complex, WFLA reported.

The FBI said Dennison's first federal court appearance occurred Tuesday. Officials said Dennison will be detained and will be extradited to Washington, D.C.

Dennison was accused of skipping a Washington, D.C. trial hearing in connection with Jan. 6-related charges, WFLA reported.

Charges initially included entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building or grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, WFLA reported.

Dennison is being held for the U.S. Marshals Service at the Pinellas County Jail, records show.
