CLEARWATER, FL — An Ocklawaha man has been arrested after Clearwater Police said he drove recklessly, crashed his car into a power pole and ran from the scene.

Police were called to an accident on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard around 6 p.m. Saturday after a report that Shalom Lamar Jones, 26, was weaving in and out of traffic before crashing into a power pole and then running from the scene.

Police found him hiding in some bushes.

He was charged with reckless driving with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, driving under the influence, battery on a law enforcement officer and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
