Man Shot at Clearwater Area Hotel

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place Thursday night at a hotel in unincorporated Clearwater.

A man was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries, deputies say. They are not releasing further information about the victim at this time.

The incident unfolded around 9:41 p.m. at America’s Best Value Inn, 28596 U.S. Highway 19.

Deputies say a person entered the victim’s hotel room, shot the victim multiple times and then ran away on foot. A revolver was recovered from the area.

At this time, deputies believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
