The N.Y. Mets drafted Gorski in the seventh round of the 2009 draft from Kutztown University.
His counterpart for the Threshers, Jonathan Pettibone, entered the game with the leagues' best ERA (1.75) in 61 innings.

In his last two outings the Threshers scored eleven and five runs, however Wednesday they were unable to give him any run support against the stingy Gorski.
