Most County Offices, Facilities To Be Closed Dec. 24-25, Clearwater

All Pinellas County government offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25, and many will also be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24.

All Pinellas County government offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25, and many will also be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, in observance of Christmas. County parks, except for Fort De Soto, will be closed on Dec. 25.

Building Services, Human Services and Veterans Services offices will be closed both days and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 28. The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed on both days as well, but will reopen for regular hours on Saturday, Dec. 26.

The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open Thursday, Dec. 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25. The Solid Waste Administration Building and Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center will be closed both days. All Solid Waste facilities will reopen on Monday, Dec. 28.

The Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources administration office, Heritage Village and Educations centers will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25. County boat ramps and beach access areas will remain open. Even though administrative offices will be closed, annual beach and boat ramp parking permits will be available for sale online at http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/default.htm. 

The Florida Botanical Gardens will be open on Dec. 24, but not Dec. 25. The Holiday Lights in the Gardens event was canceled this year because of COVID-19.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco counties) will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25, except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

All Pinellas County facilities will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, Dec. 28.
