Motorcyclist Critical Following Crash In Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL -- A Lakeland man sustained life-threatening injuries Monday, Oct. 29, when his motorcycle crashed at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Belcher Road just before 4 p.m.

According to Clearwater Police, Edward Allen Lyons, 27, was riding a 2004 Yamaha R6 motorcycle when he collided with a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Carmella D. Mcfadyen, 66, of Bronxville, New York.

Lyons was westbound on Gulf-to-Bay and had a green light as he approached the intersection. Mcfadyen was heading east on Gulf-to-Bay and was in the process of turning left on Belcher Road when the crash occurred.

Lyons remains in critical condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
