New Port Richey Man Critical After Falling 25 Feet At Work Site

CLEARWATER, FL — A New Port Richey man sustained serious injuries after fall off a 25-foot-tall lift while working at a Clearwater apartment complex.

Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater Police were called to the Clear Bay Terrace Apartments, 1770 N. Betty Lane, after James Edward Bailey, 63, fell from the lift Friday at 9:40 a.m.

He was flown to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert and remains in critical condition.

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration is conducting an investigation.
