New Year's Eve Celebrations in Tampa Bay

Here are just a few of the activities going on throughout the region to ring in 2015.

Tampa Bay area residents looking for fun ways to ring in the New Year will find a number of celebrations planned throughout the region. Here are just a few of the events scheduled to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015:

Light It Up in Clearwater

Just head out to Clearwater Beach before midnight to take in a fireworks show courtesy of the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce. Nearby businesses are adding to the party atmosphere with their own celebrations planned. For more information, visit Light It Up Clearwater online.

Celebrate Busch Gardens Style

The Tampa theme park is staying open late to ring in the New Year with fireworks at midnight. The special event is included with regular park admission and includes music, fireworks and afterhours access to the park’s rides. For more details, visit Busch Gardens online.

Head to a Street Party

Downtown Bradenton is the place to be for an old fashion street party with live music, food trucks and other vendors. The fun takes place between Manatee and 3rd avenues. The streets close to traffic around 2:30 p.m., but the party doesn’t kick off until 4.

“American Idol’s” Sam Woolf, a Bradenton native, is expected to take the stage at 7 p.m.

Ring It In at First Night St. Petersburg

This family oriented festival takes place in downtown St. Petersburg, featuring music, entertainment, games, art, fireworks, food and more. The celebration spans more than 25 venues in downtown and kicks off with FirstKids from 4 to 7 p.m. with activities for youngsters. The fun continues with lots of live acts, fireworks and more. Watch the Pineapple Drop
