CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police and fire rescue personnel responded to a crash that left a 40-year-old pedestrian in critical condition.
Just after 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Druid Road, a motorcycle struck a pedestrian and then left the scene. The 40-year-old man was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he remains in critical condition, according to police.
Alcohol appears to be a factor on the part of the pedestrian. The motorcycle is described as an older chopper-type. Anyone with information on the crash or the motorcyclist should call Clearwater police at 727-562-4242.
