Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck While Crossing Belcher Road

CLEARWATER, FL -- A pedestrian was killed Sunday night after being hit by a vehicle on Belcher Road.

According to Clearwater Police, Chris Michael McCabe, 61, was attempted to cross Belcher Road between Druid Road and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard with his wife at 9:22 p.m. April 7 when he was struck by a southbound Honda Pilot driven by Penni Agalla, 49, of Clearwater.

McCabe and his wife were not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash. He was taken to Morton Plant Hospital where he died.
