Pilot OK After Touchy Landing

A twin-engine plane's landing gear collapsed Monday morning at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

CLEARWATER, FL -- The pilot of a twin-engine plane walked away without injury following a Monday morning crash landing at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

The twin-engine plane’s “gear collapsed on landing,” airport spokeswoman Michele Routh told Patch.

The landing sparked a fire that was quickly extinguished, several media outlets have reported.
