Parents who want to get a jump on planning for the 2015-16 school year will find all the important dates they need to know about on the Pinellas County School’s calendar for the upcoming year.

Here are some of the most important dates:

• First day of school – Aug. 24, 2015
• Labor Day holiday – Sept. 7
• End of first quarter – Oct. 16
• Student day off – Oct. 19
• Thanksgiving holidays – Nov. 23-27
• Winter holidays – Dec. 21, 2015 through Jan. 1, 2016
• Student day off – Jan. 4
• End of first semester – Jan. 5
• Martin Luther King Jr. holiday – Jan. 18
• Student day off – Feb. 15
• End of third quarter – March 11
• No school for kids – March 14
• Spring break – March 21-25
• Schools reopen – March 28
• Memorial Day holiday – May 30
• Last day of school – June 7
