Pinellas Jail Inmate Dies After Being Rushed To Hospital

Detectives say they have found no evidence that Harry Dussaman was involved in any physical fights at the jail or suffered an injury.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of a 40-year-old inmate at the Pinellas County Jail.

According to the sheriff's office, Harry Dussaman was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on July 29 after being arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

On Thursday around 7:40 p.m., Dussaman was taken to the hospital for undisclosed medical reasons where his condition continued to decline. He was pronounced dead Friday at 12:23 a.m.

Detectives say they have found no evidence that Dussaman was involved in any physical fights at the jail or suffered any injuries while in custody.

The Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of
death.
