CLEARWATER, FL -- The monthly household electronics and chemical collection events advertised to take place at the North County Government Center in April through the rest of 2019 have been relocated due to renovations at the center. The collection events will be moved to nearby Countryside High School, 3000 State Road 580 in Clearwater, beginning with the April 27 event.

North County Government Center operations are not anticipated to be impacted by the exterior-only renovations and will be open during normal business hours.

The construction project is designed to enhance the overall customer experience. Upon completion, residents who drop off their household electronics and chemicals during scheduled events will have a newly paved surface to drive on, allowing for quicker and safer drop-off service.

The improvement project aligns with Pinellas County’s strategic plan area of delivering first-class services to the public, while the household electronics and chemical collection events align with the strategic plan of practicing environmental stewardship by providing residents a cost-free means to dispose of unwanted and unused electronics and chemicals from households for disposal and recycling.
