Porch Pirate Dressed Like Capt. Jack Sparrow Nabbed: Police

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police say they've arrested a man accused of dressing like Capt. Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies and stealing Amazon packages from porches on North Hercules Avenue.

Police said social media tipsters led them to Ryan Harrison, 26, who faces a burglary charge.

He was arrested Wednesday night and was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

In early February, home surveillance systems videotaped a man dressed like Capt. Jack Sparrow stealing an Amazon package, one of several stolen in the neighborhood.

Despite the disguise, police said several people identified the man as Harrison.
