On Sunday, Jan. 28, Washington was arrested in Orlando and charged with second-degree murder in Cairo’s death.
According to Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, Cairo was a known marijuana dealer. He and Washington, joined by the two unknown women, left Oz at about 2:15 a.m. and went to another gentlemen's club. They then left the second club at about 3:30 a.m. and went to Cairo's home in Washington's car.
There, the two men apparently got into an argument, and the two women left on foot, said Gualtieri. After the women left, Gualtieri said Washington shot Cairo with a 40-caliber semi-automatic gun owned by Cairo. Washington's car was seen fleeing the scene just after neighbors heard the gunfire.
When he was arrested at an Orlando residence, detectives discovered a "significant" quantity of marijuana and Cairo's gun in Washington's possession.
Anyone with information that might help identify the two women is asked to contact Detective John Suess of the Pinellas Sheriff’s Robbery/Homicide Unit at (727) 582-6153 or jsuessiv@pcsonet.com.
To remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.
"It's imperative that we find these two women," Gualtieri said.
