Publix Poised To Rebuild Clearwater Beach Store
Lakeland-based Publix has filed permits to raze and rebuild the 200 Island Way store.

CLEARWATER, FL — Customers of Publix’s Clearwater Beach Island Estates store may soon have to find a new place to shop temporarily.
The Lakeland-based grocery chain has confirmed it has filed permits to raise the 200 Island Way grocery store and build a new store in its place. The new store will reportedly be bigger than the current location.
Full details about the plans are not yet being released. A time table for construction is pending permitting approval from the Clearwater Planning and Development department.
