Ramen Noodles, Coffee Wash Up on Florida Beaches
The unusual items are believed to have come from a barge that lost some of its cargo on Sunday.

College students down on their luck may want to head to Florida’s east coast for free coffee and ramen noodles.
It seems beachgoers all along the coast have been making unusual finds ever since a barge lost some of its cargo containers while on its way past the state on Sunday. Coffee cans began washing up on beaches Tuesday while the free noodles started showing up Wednesday. Bird seed packages have also been spotted by beach goers in the Ft. Pierce area.
The U.S. Coast Guard reported Tuesday that it is still investigating the barge’s loss of cargo. It seems the Columbia Elizabeth dropped a number of cargo containers in water between Cape Canaveral and Palm Beach on Sunday. While nine containers have been confirmed to have fallen overboard, the coast guard estimates the extent of the loss around 25. One of the containers is known to contain wet cell batteries.
Anyone who finds containers is asked to call the Coast Guard National Response Center at 1-800-424-8802.
