“Johnson is armed and dangerous,” the agency wrote in an email to media. When captured, Johnson will be charged as an adult, the agency stated.
“He is a juvenile by age; however, he is a convicted felon per the state following a felony conviction in Polk County from 2013,” the email explained.
The incident that led to the hunt for Johnson occurred Wednesday afternoon when a man in a Nissan 240SX said someone in a white Chrysler 300 cut him off on 34th St. N. The Nissan’s driver said he was shot at when he yelled at the driver of the Chrysler.
While the victim was uninjured in the road rage incident, police launched an investigation to find the shooter.
Anyone who knows of Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Pinellas Park Police Department at 727-541-0758. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or online at http://www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org/.
