Ross Norton's Sunday BMX Jam

It was a busy weekend at the Ross Norton Skatepark for both skateboarders and BMX bike riders.

Following the "" Saturday, bikers took to the ramps for the BMX Jam Sunday afternoon.

Excitement rose to a fever pitch just before the contest results were announced to a crowd of eager BMXers and their parents just before 5 p.m. Riley Howard took first place in the beginner class, Ryan McGary won the intermediate group, and the big winner of the Jam was 18 year old Spencer Foresman.

Tricks like dork manuals, tailwhips, and tabletops were some of the stunts performed by the BMX riders for the judges booth as well as the audience in the stands.

The contest kicked off at 2 p.m. with BMX beginners hitting the course first for the judges.

After the beginner's finished their runs, it was time for the intermediate riders to get out there and bust out their bag of tricks for a chance at the top spot.

The advanced riders took the last runs, showed the highest level of skill, and utilized a wide range of maneuvers for the final battle.
