Santa Rises To The Occasion For Children At Mease Countryside
With the help of Clearwater firefighters and their bucket truck, Santa was able to greet children in the hospital.
CLEARWATER, FL — Children at Mease Countryside Hospital received a nontraditional visit from Santa Saturday morning when he climbed to the top of the Clearwater Fire & Rescue bucket truck to wave at them as they watched from the windows of their hospital rooms.
Santa, who moonlights as a Clearwater firefighter, also joined the Local 1158 of the Clearwater Fire Fighters Union in dropping off toys for the children
Because of COVID-19 guidelines, many of these children wouldn't have had an opportunity to see Santa this year without the help of the firefighters.
