Search for Man's Killer Continues 9 Years Later

Clearwater Police want to bring the person responsible to justice.

It’s been nine years since James Siebert was found badly beaten in the parking lot of his apartment complex. The 53-year-old Lowe’s employee died of those injuries a short time later at Morton Plant Hospital.

That incident at 612 Sally Lane in Clearwater unfolded just before 4 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2005. It still haunts local police, who are trying to find new leads in the case.

“He was attacked as he left his apartment to go to work,” Clearwater Police Department spokesman Rob Shaw noted on the agency’s Facebook page. “His homicide remains unsolved to this day, but our detectives are committed to finding out who killed him.”
